The following rules and regulations have been established for the protection and benefit of all members.
Parental
Parents are responsible for their children while they are on pool property and the observation of all pool rules and regulations.
No child under the age of 12 is permitted to be at the pool unaccompanied unless they have completed a water test given by the Manager. No child under the age of 10 is permitted to take the water test. Upon successful completion the Manager shall update the child's info in the membership system. The Manager and other authorized personnel are the absolute authority on the enforcement of the Willowood Swim Club rules and regulations.
Any Violation of these rules and regulations shall be considered sufficient cause for the immediate dismissal from the pool property. Violation of these rules and regulations may also result in the pool Manager’s recommendation to the Board of Directors for suspension of pool privileges for the offending member.
Any member recommended for suspension will be offered a hearing before the Board of Directors.
Rules and Regulations
1. All vehicles will be properly parked in the spaces provided for such use in the parking lot and adjacent fields. No parking is permitted on the front lawns, and parking on pool property is only permitted while the pool is open.
Pool Hours and Use
2a. The pool is open Monday thru Saturday 12 noon to 8:00 PM, and Sunday 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Exceptions are inclement weather and moonlight swims.
2b. Children using the wading pool must have a responsible adult at the pool while the child is in or near the water.
2c. All private/group swim lessons must be approved by the Manager.
2d. The pool may be closed for maintenance at the discretion of the Manager, Trustee, or Board of Directors.
2e. The use of any pool while a lifeguard is not in attendance is prohibited.
Guests
4a. Guests may be brought to the pool anytime by and with an active member.
4b. All guests must be accompanied by an active member who shall remain in attendance with their guest.
4c. All guests must be registered upon entry to the pool.
4d. All guests are the responsibility of the member signing them in and must follow the pool rules and regulations.
4e. Guest fees are established by the Board of Directors as policy items and are subject to approval at the beginning of each season. Presently: Adults $7.00, Children 3-18 $7.00, Children 2 and under are free. Guests over the age of 18 are considered adults. A ten guest value card may be purchased for $50.00 and may be used for any age guest at anytime.
4f. Guest fees are refundable if the pool closes for inclement weather within 1 hour of a guest signing in.
4g. The cost of any property damage caused by a guest shall be charged to the member.
Health & Safety
5a. No glass containers are permitted on the pool grounds.
5b. No running, pushing, wrestling, or rough play is permitted in or about the pool.
5c. No pets are permitted inside the fenced area.
5d. Admission to the pool may be refused to anyone with a communicable medical condition.
5e. All members, including children shall use the pool at their own risk.
5f. The Manager shall be authorized to provide adult swim periods when conditions warrant.
5g. Shower and toilet facilities should be used prior to entering the pools.
5h. Do not talk with the life guards while they are on duty, unless necessary.
5i. Children that are diapered or not toilet trained must wear a Huggies or equivalent swim diaper.
5j. Bathing suits shall be considered proper attire for swimming, cut – offs are not permitted.
5k. Any person age 4 and over must wear appropriate swimming attire.
5l. Bathing suit attire should provide adequate coverage.
Diving and Slide Areas
6a. Only 1 person is permitted on the diving board at a time.
6b. Do not dive until the previous diver has exited the diving area.
6c. Dive from the board in a forward direction only.
6d. Excess bouncing on the board is prohibited.
6e. No person shall enter the diving area except from the diving board.
6f. Only 1 rider at a time is permitted on the slides. Wait until the landing area is clear before entering the slide.
6g. Slide in a sitting position or on the back only.
6h. Do not attempt to stop on the slide.
6i. Leave plunge area immediately after landing.
6j. Non – swimmers are not permitted.
6k. Goggles and diving sticks are not permitted
General
7. The Willowood Swim Club Inc., is not responsible for any accidents, injury, theft, loss or damage to personal property on the premises of the club.
8. The cost of any property damage caused by a member shall be charged to the member.
9a. Profane or abusive language is prohibited.
9b. Inappropriate displays of public affection are not permitted.
10. All refuse is to be placed in the proper containers provided by the club.
11a. Smoke Free Facility - Willowood is now a smoke free facility. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on Willowood property. Smoke free includes the use of electronic smoking devices, along with traditional tobacco products.
12a. Water toys are permitted in the pools, at the discretion of the Manager.
12b. At no time are vertical rigid diving sticks permitted in any pool.
13. Cooking devices are permitted within the confines of designated areas approved by the Manager.
14. The pool Manager has the discretion to limit recreational activities that may affect the safety of others.
15. One or two lap lanes shall be provided for lap swimming. Access to those lanes shall be at the discretion of the Manager based on pool population at any given time. There is no age limit for the use of the lap lanes.
16. These rules and regulations may be revised at anytime by the Manager or Board of Directors.
